The Hario Glass Container with Glass Lid, 2 Piece Set is a set of two containers, one with twenty three and a half ounces capacity (23.5 oz) and one with seventeen ounces capacity (17 oz), each with a glass lid that has a pretty blue silicon rubber seal – so four pieces in total. The glass lids have a loose fit for microwave ventilation, which means you can use it for microwave steaming (add 2 spoons of water and microwave with the lid on). Note that the silicon rubber seal sometimes tightens the lid on heating. The bottom of the bowls are concave, and the lids are convex, which means you can stack them one on top of the the other in the refrigerator as the lid of one bowl will slot under the bottom of the other bowl.

If you tend to cook your rice in the microwave, this container set functions as a microwave rice cooker. You can also use it for steaming vegetables in the microwave. This container can be used to store raw vegetables, cold foods and leftovers in the refrigerator and for re-heating food in the microwave. Note that these containers do not go into the freezer.

These containers are dishwasher safe and are made in Japan. Hario in Japanese means “King of Glass” and the Hario company dates back to 1921.
